Now You See It, Now You Don't : Lessons in Sleight of Hand, by Bill Tarr

Amazon.com Reader Review:
This is THE sleight of hand book! A step-by-step guide to almost every sleight created! Bill Tarr
explains how to do the sleights in an easy and understandable way and the illustrations are so good
that you could learn the sleights alone from them! If you only buy one magic book ever, DEFINITLY
make it this one!

Encyclopedia of Card Tricks, by Jean Hugard

Amazon.com Reader Review:
This is a great book in magic. If you ever wanted to learn about magic from the beginer level to advance, then you got to buy this. However, beware; it is hard to understand because the book LACKS picture! Yes, instead of using that time to learn new tricks, you have to spend it trying to figure out what the author means. That is why I gave it 4 stars. If you are a beginner in magic, I recommend you to read "Now You See It, Now You Don't". After which, the material in this book will be easier to understand

101 Amazing Card Tricks, by Bob Longe

Amazon.com Reader Review:
If you have manipulated cards for any length of time or never at all, I'm positive you can learn something useful from this book. I myself have been very interested in sleight of hand with cards for years and have just recently employed books for new ideas. This book covers a number of sleights that are then applied in the various tricks taught in the text. The instructions are quite easy to follow with a few exceptions, but I'm convinced that most card books have a couple instructions that require rereading. The tricks are labeled with stars(1 to 5) for the level of difficulty required for perfoming. This is a great book for serious and the not-so-serious reader. If you're like me and don't like self working tricks that involve no sleight of hand there are very few (1,maybe 2) in here. I highly recommend it.
