The Difference Between Linux And Windows Hosting Servers
There are several differences between Linux and Window hosting servers. The first difference is the operating system. Linux uses the Linux operating system and Window uses the Microsoft Windows Server. The second difference is the server access. Linux is the only hosting program where a person can access their files directly on the web server without having to transfer to and from the hard drive. The third difference is the stability and performance. Linux has the ability to handle a lot more things than Windows can. But sometimes this can depend on the person who is using the computer and not the operating system.
The fourth difference is cost effectiveness. This means that Linux does not cost anything to use because it is an open source operating system. The fifth difference is the features and the languages supported. There are several different web features that both of the systems suppose. But Linux supports most of the them unlike Windows. The sixth difference is security. The Linux servers are a lot more secure to use than the Windows servers. The biggest reason for this is that there are a lot of more users on Windows than Linux.
These are the top six differences between the hosting servers.
